The Department of Sustainable Technology and the Built Environment is home to more than 500 undergraduate majors across three program areas, and to approximately 40 graduate students. In addition, we offer minors in Appropriate Technology and Building Science.
Many students in the Department of Sustainable Technology and the Built Environment complete a supervised internship in their field of study. We offer a large number of student scholarships, both need and merit-based. Every program area has an associated student club, all of which are local chapters of national organizations. In addition, there are a host of sponsored activities, special interest events, and competitions in which students can get involved, including Habitat for Humanity, the ASU Renewable Energy Initiative, and a wide range of service learning projects.
We invite you to explore the program area pages on our web site to learn more about the many opportunities available to students in the Department of Sustainable Technology and the Built Environment!
