The Department of Technology and Environmental Design is home to more than 900 undergraduate majors across seven program areas, and to approximately 50 graduate students. In addition, we offer minors in Appropriate Technology, Building Science, Technical Photography, and Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology.

A majority of students in the Department of Technology and Environmental Design complete a supervised internship in their field of study. We offer a large number of student scholarships, both need and merit-based. Every program area has an associated student club, all of which are local chapters of national organizations. In addition, there are a host of sponsored activities, special interest events, and competitions in which students can get involved, including Habitat for Humanity, the ASU Renewable Energy Initiative, and a wide range of service learning projects.
